So how do you pronounce this delicious frozen treat!?
Bert and Ernie rule!
Sher-bert. It's WAY more sophisticated.
first one
Didn't know it was pronounced that way. I've always said it the French way - it's a French word, so maybe I don't sound that stupid after all. I say "sȯr-ˈbā". Does that make sense?
Sher-bert.
Finn, I think you are thinking of Sorbet. Which is also a delicious treat, but different then Sherbet/Sherbert
Seriously? What's the difference? Is more like frozen yogurt? I googled it and thought it looked the same.
The main difference is that sorbet is a fruit-based dessert and sherbet is more dairy-based.
I say sherbet. There's no r in the second syllable of the word.
Sher-bet
bert
sher-bert. even though i think it is pronounced sher-bet. but i think i sound silly saying it that way.
I've always said sher-bert.
-bert, even though I've been corrected that it really is -bet.
I say Sherbert. Not sure why - other then that is what everyone always called it where I live.
Sher-bert. Lame ass is right!
I'd be crabby if I lived in Dalton, too.
(Oh, and sher-bet.)
-bert even though I'm pretty sure it's incorrect.
Not too lame to vote and comment.
