Do you care about pantie lines? I try to never have VPL and sometimes I even go commando if I don't want to wear a thong.
So ladies tell me do you worry about having a VPL?

Yeah, I only wear thongs because of that.
1Hmm, I bought seamless underwear last time I worried about that which was this summer when we were in NYC. But they crept right up my crack so it didn't really matter if they were seamless or not.
2No VPL. I either do thongs or these super comfy seamless boyshorts that don't give you VPL.
3I try my darndest not to have VPL, but I have officially retired the thong from my wardrobe. I wore them a lot in my early 20s, and then I discovered body shapers and realized I could smoothe everything all out and stop jiggling. I was a miracle. A Christmas miracle.
4I don't have it, I wear a thong if the situation requires one.

5I try not to have any.. The worst is when girls aren't mindful of them at the gym.. I know it's uncomfortable for some girls to wear thongs whilst working out.. but you seriously can't avoid panty bunch and it's so unsightly!!
6you know the VPL faux pas thing has always kind of irked me. why should we be uncomfortable just to make other people feel comfortable.
thongs are the work of the devil. women wear underwear - it isn't a big secret. gah! so we want
people to believe we aren't wearing undergarments? when will the insanity end?
7Kudos, Aud. I totally appreciate your point!
Linds, there is no way I could wear a thong at the gym w/o feeling like it was cutting me in half, so I figured out how to solve that problem. I no longer go to the gym!
8i dont care if i have vpl or my bra straps show either.
9I must be weird--I don't find thongs uncomfortable at all
Most regular panties don't fit me
well.
10Thongs are comfortable for me, too, Jude.
Maybe I just got used to them.. but - on that
note, when I run.. I always feel self-conscious because I'm sure my arse is jiggling way too much for the person behind me!
11Yeah.. probably TMI on that one.. sorry, folks. Haha!
12I have never heard about people caring about panty lines at the gym- that would be way too much for me to worry about. But I belonged to an all women's gym when I went to one so maybe that's it.
13When I was a member at a gym, I just wore regular bikinis and didn't care if I had VPL but the VS ones I get are pretty good and I generally don't get VPL anyway.

14Thank you, Aud!
I don't care much if I have VPL. Women wear underwear. And if it makes you
uncomfortable that I have VPL, then stop starring at my butt!
15No, I'll wear a thong from VS to avoid it at all costs. Normally, I just wear bikini underwear if I'm wearing something that will not show a VPL. The VS thongs are the most comfortable ones I've found...but I STILL find them UNcomfy. Slave to fashion...what's a girl to do. Maybe, I need to try Spanks.
16
Finn. You know I agree wholeheartedly.
17I go comando

I always just wear a thong. I find the Commando brand very comfortable, and Hanky Panky is pretty good, too.
19I don't like going commando either. I would give the reason but this is a public poll.
20I love my Commandos! They were just what I'd been waiting for.

I agree wren. I find both commando brand and hanky panky to be comfortable. That's actually all I'll wear!
22BB, the VS thongs that are most comfortable are the microfiber ones. They don't have bulky seams and the fabric is really soft and smooth.

23The commando librarian! That's a Christmas wish for quite a few men in America, I think.
I wore thongs for a couple of years and was rarely comfortable. Now, I wear what's comfortable, and try my best to not have VPL, but otherwise don't give much of a hoot.
24I have also learned that if you wear blue jeans all the time you don't have VPL.
25When I wear pants I always were a thong. If I am wearing something that doesn't show my line I wear regular bikini unddies.
26I wear blue jeans every single day.
27Honestly, how do you guys get that 1 inch thick piece of elastic on the back of the VS thong into your cracks? I saw those and was like "OH NO."
Maybe it goes in sideways but it looks uncomfortable. I used to do commando in college but not
anymore. Spanx work well too.
28If I am at home and have to go out it is always blue jeans. At work we can't wear them and I have to wear slacks or skirts. I usually have long tops though because in general I am self conscious of my lower half so VPL really isn't a consideration.
29Nope doesn't bother me, but I'm another who refuses to go commando. When I'm wearing tights I wear underwear on top to keep them up, but then I have to wear underwear underneath them. Plus at the moment it's so cold I wear 2 pairs of tights - so I have a lot of layers down there it probably pads out my vpl.
30ERm.. No I don't really worry about it
I never have a problem going commando either
31Glam, thanks. I'll check those out.
Red, I've never seen a one inch piece of fabric on a VS thongs (but I only get a certain kind. But, I totally agree with you..an inch of fabric is a horrifying thought...h*ll, a half an inch is just as scary). I did ask my friend (who is the manager there) what was the most comfortable thong they sold. I tried it, and was cool with it...so I went back and bought a ton more. I think those came out before the ones Glam is talking about.
I'll never forget one of my friend's, who happened to be a stripper (back in the day in Atlanta) saying, it all depends on what kind of thong you get. Then, she proceeded to show me her entire collection.
32i cannot get myself to pay the prices at VS for a pair of panties missing the whole backside. it pains me to even think about spending my money for a pair.
33BB, maybe I am imagining it and it is half an inch? All I know is that on thongs I am used to them having a very thin piece on the backside- not that I ever wear them because I am a comfort girl all the way. But I saw the VS ones once and was like "Holy Mama that's thick!"
34Aud, I hear you. I always buy my undies when their having a sale. Plus, it's nice to have a 2 or 3 thongs on hand..just in case of a special event or certain outfit you love requires them...and you really don't want a vpl. Oh, and since I don't wear them that much...and I always hang them to dry (wash on delicate) they last for a very long time, and still look brand new. (I'm scared if I threw them in the dryer they might shrink...and then there's no way I would wear it, again.)
I had tried some thongs (before I got the good ones/kind of comfy, and you do adjust to wearing them pretty fast) that were just horrible... I actually would take them off in the ladies room, and toss them in the garbage. Because, some are just so uncomfortable they're unbearable to wear.
Red, Oh, I have no doubt you've seen a wide thong part, and there is no way I would wear those either. I didn't mean to sound like I was doubting you. I was just saying...I totally understand.
35I always wear thongs. Except in the winter when my butt gets too cold
Then I'll wear some
boyshorts or something. I just don't want to look like I have 4 butt cheeks.
36I wear thongs or commandos, I hate VPL.
37I think the G-strings are a lot more comfortable than the thongs that have half an inch of fabric in your crack, now that I think about it. You get used to it, and then it's like nothing's there.
38thongs are really comfortable. i dunno why everyone says they aren't; maybe they're just not buying the right sizes or cuts for their bodies. cause i actually prefer thongs to regular underwear for my regular daily activities. the only time i wear real underwear is when i'm sleeping.
and as far as the gym goes, I HATE WEDGIES, and while some claim that is what a thong is, regular underwear is SO much more irritating at the gym than a nice stretchy comfy thong is.
39also- as far as i've seen through observation, blue jeans don't hide VPL. everyone can still see your panty lines in jeans.
40first off why do you even wear regular panties to bed if you prefer thongs so much?
second i don't know what type of jeans you are talking about, no pockets stretch jeans, maybe? at any rate other than those that is entirely not true. VPL is not noticeable in jeans.
41I notice a lot of VPL in women wearing jeans.
42well yeah if someone wears tight jeans i suppose but otherwise no.
43No, I see it even in women wearing fairly relaxed-fit mom jeans. But I might just be looking too closely at people's butts
44well you have xray vision it would seem.
45I like that picture of Cedric Diggory as Santa that you have in your avatar.
46Well when I work out I always go commando!!
47I honestly couldn't care less about VPL. I started wearing thongs when I was in college and loved them so much that they made up nearly all of my underwear wardrobe. But in recent years they've gotten more uncomfortable- I can't sleep in them anymore and I have a fair amount of bikini underwear for days when I'm not feeling up to it.
I've never noticed a VPL in jeans either- that's so weird
48Yeah Jude I am very pleased with my avy as well.
49I wear low rise Hanky Pankies, and they are so comfortable. I never go commando unless I'm in my PJ's.
