Call me crazy, but I would NEVER think to bring a 4 or 5 year old to a movie called, "ZombieLand." Yet, there was a TON of little kids in this movie theater. After the movie let out, it was confirmed that I would not bring a 4 or 5 year old to that kind of shizz. Hello extreme zombie killing violence, profanity, etc. I loved the movie but am I off my rocker that this type of movie is inappropriate for children? I am pregnant and think I might be way off base in the way I raise my children.

Yeah, that doesn't seem right.
1When I was doing movie checks I saw that all the time. Usually either weekend dad that was NOT going to miss opening weekend. Or parents more interested in making out than parenting.
No kids at movies that are more than pg-13. Mine can only see pg. Why expose them so early? Plus disrupts the theater when they are upset.
2not to knock the army or anything, but I feel like it's even worse here. The parents are younger then I am with kids that are 5 -7 years old!!! Geesh. Not to say young parents are bad or anything but some of these parents I see sure are not setting a shining example of greatness.
3I know of some pre teens that were going to see it, but not 5 or 6, yikes.
4No I would never let my kid see a movie like that. I still don't let my 14 year see some PG 13 movies even though he knows about sex.
5sometimes I think that PG 13 is worse then R for some kids bc it's mostly sex stuff, right?
6yes sometimes R is just for the violence while a movie will get a PG 13 rating and be full of sex stuff. I always go to imdb and click on the parents section on the movie to find out what exactly is in it. It's pretty good at breaking down everything.
